We are a homeschooling family with 5 children.  We made the decision to homeschool our children several years ago, and we have never regretted it for a single moment!

Here are some facts about our family:

• We have 5 children, all currently under 13.
• We both work at home.
• We don’t drink.
• We don’t smoke.
• We don’t take drugs.
• We are both high school dropouts with GEDs.
• We both attended some technical school, but didn’t graduate.
• We both have above average IQs.
• We wanted more for our children than we were given as far as education.
• We wanted our children to have more choices with regards to their own educations.
• We both wished we’d had a better opportunity to attend a good college.
• We want to keep our children as safe as possible.
• We want to protect our kids from outside influences for as long as we can.
• Our children do watch television, but it is strictly monitored.
• Our kids don’t use the internet unsupervised, even for a moment.
• We never, ever try to push our beliefs on others.

Although we believe very strongly that our choice to homeschool our kids was the right one for us, we don’t believe it should be pushed on anyone, and we know it isn’t right for everyone.  We also wouldn’t push our moral, ethical, or religious beliefs on anyone.  Everyone in the world should be free to make their OWN choices, as long as those choices don’t directly interfere with anyone else’s life.
